Matt Maurer interviewed by CBC News on stolen cannabis
Matt Maurer, Chair of our Cannabis Law and Franchise Law Groups, was interviewed by CBC News after $10,000 worth of cannabis was delivered to the wrong licensed cannabis retailer, left in an alley and was then stolen. The general manager of Kindling Cannabis Leaside in Toronto is speaking out, calling for action from the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the province's regulatory bodies.
"There definitely doesn't seem to be a uniform enforcement or a consistency in the enforcement," said Matt Maurer, partner and chair of the cannabis law group at Torkin Manes LLP.
