Matt Maurer speaks to the Toronto Star about where cannabis stores may pop up when they begin to open in Ontario

Matt Maurer, vice-chair of our Cannabis Law Group, spoke to the Toronto Star on where cannabis stores may open in cities throughout Ontario come April 2019, and which municipalities may opt-out.

Matt discusses how border stores abutting opt-out municipalities will almost certainly pop up.

“And to drive from the border of Mississauga to the border of Burlington it takes about six minutes to blast through Oakville on the QEW, so why not set up a shop on Winston Churchill Blvd. (in the east) and Burloak Dr.” to the west, he says.
